Author Matthew Rosenberg loves Killer Moth!

Last month, I had the pleasure to meet comic book writer Matthew Rosenberg, who is a true Killer Moth fan!

We talked about our love of the character and how he wanted to write a series based on the Killer Moth... sadly his editor said the character wasn't popular enough to warrant a series! :(

At least we have Killer Moth's appearances from the 2023 series "Joker the Man Who Stopped Laughing"

In it, Joker teams up with Killer Moth as he travels to Los Angeles while a doppelganger goes on a spree in Gotham.

Killer Moth gets some good moments in the series as Rosenberg's love for the character shines through.

Our fingers are crossed for more Matthew Rosenberg penned Killer Moth stories in the future!

Killer Moth in the newspaper!

This rare appearance of Killer Moth is from the 1960's Batman newspaper comic strip!

Killer Moth appearances from the last few years...

I've been a bit behind in updating this page, but back in 2022-2023, we got lots of great Killer Moth appearances!

First up, In Batman '66 #29, we get a very different version of the Killer Moth than the one that appeared in the unshown Batgirl pilot!

In the story Killer Moth teams up with Ma Barker, Solomon Grundy and Killer Croc to escape prison.

This new look isn't bad, but it isn't my favorite design.

Of course, the Killer Moth's freedom is short-lived and he ends back up in prison.

In Batman Knightwatch #4, Killer Moth faces off against the Batman family!

The story starts with Killer Moth facing off against his arch-nemesis, Batgirl

However, this time, Killer Moth gets the upper hand against the domino'd damsel!

Having finally defeated Batgirl, Killer Moth "quits" crime for good!

In an attempt to earn respect, Killer Moth becomes a professional wrestler! However, his first opponent - Killer Croc - leaves him tied up in knots!

You can't keep a good moth down... In Batgirls #9-12, Killer Moth is back to his criminal ways, this time facing off against a duo of Batgirls as well as matching wits with the Riddler!

Once again, Killer Moth is sporting a new mask and costume as he is hired by an evil podcaster to cause trouble for the Batgirls!

Killer Moth seems to be acting like his Lego version - being mesmerized by a table lamp!

Killer Moth gives the Batgirls a good run for their money, evading capture, at least until returning in issue 11.

He's found trussed up by a mysterious assailant. This is Killer Moth's first encounter Cassie Cain aka the Black Bat.

Killer Moth is sucker-punched by the Riddler!

However, Killer Moth gets the last laugh, although he soon finds himself back in custody!

Let's hope we see more Killer Moth comic book appearances in the near future!

Killer Moth from around the web!

While the Killer Moth doesn't show up too often in comics, he is pretty popular with fans online! Here's a gallery of fantastic Killer Moth art!

The latest Batman animated series features an appearance by the classic Killer Moth!

In the episode, Killer Moth has teamed up with King Tut and a female Copperhead

Damien (wearing a Batman costume) leaps on Killer Moth's back!

While it's goofy, it's fun to see the Killer Moth in animated form again! Who knows, maybe we'll get action figures from the show!
