More awesome Killer Moth cosplay

I received a large batch of photographs by Anthony Provolone - who, when he isn't spinning the records as a DJ in Lancaster, NY, builds costumes and cosplays as the Killer Moth! I think his version of the lethal lepidopterist is pretty great!

If you have created any Killer Moth related artwork or costumes, please share it with us at the Killer Moth Appreciation and Preservation Society!

Killer Moth Go!

Can we talk about the Killer Moth as he appears in Teen Titans Go! for a moment?

He's treated as a credible threat to the kids and often manages to best the team (at least temporarily) and you've got to admit, he's got a pretty cool outfit.

He's treated as an arch-nemesis to Robin (which is how he was portrayed in Chuck Dixon's run on Robin) which is almost as good as him fighting Batman.

He's also portrayed as a Dad figure whether its to his daughter Kitten, or the gross mutant Chuck or Starfire's adopted pet, Silkie, whom Killer Moth created in his lab.

As much as I like the original "anti-Batman" version of Killer Moth, I'm pretty happy with this version too! If only we could get an action figure of him!

P.S. If you want to learn how to draw the Teen Titans Go! version of the Killer Moth, go here!

Killer Moth appears in DC Super Hero Girls!

Because I am not a 8 year old girl, I haven't been paying super-close attention to the DC Super Hero Girls animated cartoon and toy series.

However, because the show features Batgirl (and many other DC heroines and characters), the Killer Moth was bound to show up eventually!

This version of the character is great - he's treated as an actual threat (unlike his portrayal on The Batman cartoon) and he doesn't have all of the goofy trappings and hang-ups like the Teen Titans Go incarnation.

He even flies around in a Moth-Copter! Next to the Brave and the Bold version, this might be my favorite animated Killer Moth yet!

Killer Moth makes a cameo in the upcoming  DC Super Hero Girls Free Comic Book Day issue. Gotta add that one to the list!

And best of all, he's the star of the book Butterfly Battle. Killer Moth on the cover of a kid's book? Somebody pinch me!

And if you pick up the DC Super Hero Girls Power Play sticker and paper doll book, you'll find a nice big sticker of the Killer Moth! Cool!

Man, what a great time to be a Killer Moth fan!

Awesome Mego custom figures

Mego's World Greatest Heroes was a toy line from the mid-70's to the early 80's and one of the first companies to make superhero action figures. It was the first Batman-related action figures I owned as a child and I've always been fond of them.

Some of the first professional action figure customizers worked with Megos. It's these Mego customs where the idea for the TV show Robot Chicken came from.

Needless to say, there are lots of great custom Megos out there, especially of the Killer Moth!

If you want to learn more about Mego action figures check out the amazing Mego Museum website (where many of these pictures are from)!
